I may suck at a game host, you may have partied too hard, your logical picks may have gotten stolen in Oakland, or we just might be a bunch of dumb dirt bikers; but the lesson from Super Supercross Survivor Oakland is pretty simple... it's important to pick riders who are racing the night show.
I was going to write a super long article breaking down the racing, all the picks, yadda, yadda; but the fact is... if we're doing this bad submitting riders who are actually racing, I'm probably wasting my time expecting you to read all that. Plus, I'm leaving for Mexico in about 28 hours and I have a laundry list of items to complete before that needs my attention.
So the short and the sweet... You know there is a problem when the SECOND MOST PICKED RIDER for Super Survivor in the 250 class is NOT EVEN RACING IN OAKLAND! I know, he's pretty famous and has been pretty fast; plus his YouTube pops off... but Haiden Deegan isn't getting top 7 in Oakland when he rides 250 East. It was only 2 people, but since 17 of the 26 teams went with Jett Lawrence, there weren't too many others out there. Let's not forget to laugh at those who picked Max Anstie and Nate Thrasher too...
But then there is the "media guy" who might host a podcast weekly with me... Oh BigMx Radio Brad, this is bad for the brand. In his defense, he at least picked a rider riding in Oakland, but Filthy Phil Nicoletti busted up his wrist in practice and I guess it's only fitting that Phil is the one to take out the first player completely from Super Supercross Survivor. Thanks for the donation Brad, I'll be sure to send you a picture of me spending it when I win!
The only other strikes to get passed out went to one team picking Roczen and one picking Adam Cianciarulo.
I will be out of the country riding dirt bikes in Baja and will have absolutely ZERO info, updates, etc. until likely the Thursday or Friday following Arlington. The pick links are live and I'll update when I return!
